The Sky is Ours
Look up for a minute if the situation allows, we could talk all day and still disagree but that’s ok yeah, it’s allowed.
The view from here is breathtaking, the sky so big it hurts my eyes, but that’s no reason to not keep looking, there’s pain involved, in getting wise.
We’re no longer slaves to the rhythm, merely slaves to the eternal grind and the narcissism and devices that are stealing precious time.
There’s no joy left in anticipation, the ‘want it now’ has robbed the chase, left us constantly feeling anxious and desperate to escape.
Take a breath it might just save you, from running out of air, they’ve taxed the fucking lot you know, but it’s not too late to care. It’s not too late to choose your weapon, remember what’s mightier than the sword, swear your allegiance to the righteous and the seekers and the cause.
If you feel alone on the front line, remember those who have your back, they are legion they are beautiful they are all of us and that’s a fact.
We are the first light of dark midwinter mornings, we are the warmth upon the breeze we will meet you where we find you, on your throne or on your knees.
Because nothing lasts forever, neither good, nor bad or in-between, there’s danger in delusion and there’s a price to pay for dreams. And look at the sky and tell me that the tears will never dry, that the hurt won’t subside one day,
the darkness passes one way or another,
and of course, we have each other,
and you know how much I love you and you know this ain’t a lie and if this day feels like forever, then it means we’ll never die.
So lets go and stare up at the sky
